A Day of Appreciation...

Now every year we always have certain days to appreciate something. Like Mother's day, Father's day, Teacher's day, Independence day etc etc. The list could go on....

If i'm not wrong i think today is Teacher's day in Msia. Well i cant really remember it has been 10 years since i really do celebrate this day wit a teacher. Coz that was when i'm still in primary school, and the school will have that day celebrating for the teachers. Hahaha....i remember those days well. We eat, played the whole day in school that day. And of course the teachers got extra stuff in the teacher's room. That was the early years of my primary years. But later on it just changed to first half of the day we meet up in the hall and there is performances by the students to the teachers. Then the next half is the eating part and games, and some years later is just back to studying.

Talking about appreciation, when it comes to Teacher's day, i didnt really appreciate my teachers, i mean i was a kid, what does a kid know so much about it?? Besides, even if i do know about it, i dun think i will appreciate the teachers during those 6 years. Imagine each subject a day u have a minimum of 3 homeworks, and at least 5 subjects a day. That makes is 15 homeworks a day. And the homework need to be handed in the NEXT day, which means hard work during the night. And those were my torturing years as a student. I was practically doing 75 homeworks in a normal week. And talk about holiday homework, and the useless part is that the teacher dun even discuss abt it after the holidays.

Enuf of teachers day, i'm here to talk about appreciation. Like i said, there is so many days of appreciation in a year. Mother's, Father's day for our parents. Independence day, well i treat it as a day of appreaciation coz i need to learn how to appreciate the hard work that the people was involve to get the country's independence. Without them i dun think a coutry would achieve their independence. Like here in Aust, there is ANZAC day, which is to honour the people who fought during the war, we as the living should not only honour them, but also appreaciate their work for the country.

Well those are the days that is specially had for them, but does appreciations starts and stops on that day?! NO!! Appreciation should always be given to them. Parents should deserve appreciation everyday, teachers should be appreciate by students even they aren't that good (c'mon they are putting some sort of knowledge into your head), or any other day about people appreciation should be given to them always.
