Chritmas Dinner...

Hi everyone, well first of all this supposingly to be an old post, seriously i uploaded the pictures for this post like 2 days after it happen but only now that i've completed this post so do forgive for the delay....and without any further delay here goes....

Ok so it was EdRin's 2nd annual Christmas dinner, well not that i've been to the first one so i'll call it the first XP

It was a night celebrating Christmas by having a feast!! well i guess this only applies to me n Timo, considering the amount we ate...hmmm..anyway as i was saying not only with a feast, but also the fellowship and gift exchange =)

So here is what EdRin prepared...oh i took the liberty to type the whole menu they printed...hehe..

Starter

Deck the Dough with Boughs of Holly!
~ Toasted boguette topped with ripe grape tomatoes, fresh basil with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. ~

Appetiser
We Three Clams of Orient Are...
~ Oysters Three Ways - Fresh oysters with lemon and fish roe; Fresh oysters with chilli, ginger and rice wine vinegar; Baked oysters with spinach and fresh herbs. ~


Entrée
Merry 'Shroom Soup
~ A homemade creamy medley of mushrooms. ~


Santa's Little Helpers
~ Enoki mushrooms and a stalk of asparagus presented in a crisp prosciutto parcel. ~


Fa la la la la... la la la Lamb!
~ Oven roasted lamb cutlets served with a dollop of pumpkin puree and rosemary butter. ~


Mains
All I Want For Christmas is My Two...
~ Prawn and scallop kebabs staked on a fillet of beef with homemade chilli jam. ~

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Pork!
~ Slow baked whole leg of ham with plum glaze, served with tender honeyed plums. ~

T'was the Bird Before Christmas
~ Traditional roast turkey with ham, bacon and long grain stuffing, served with red wine cranberry jus. ~


Dessert
Have Yourself a Merry Lil Christmas
~ Delightful cups of milk chocolate, raisin and macadamia truffles. ~


Practically that was the feast - 9 course meal prepared by EdRin and some help from Ed's younger bro, Edric...

After the dinner then we had Kris Kringle (spelled right?!...hmmm...) It is a gift exchange game with a little of twist...basically the last person has the most advantage...and the first person is the most unluckiest person.

Overall it was a great nite just before Christmas =)
